Yewande Oyediran standing trial for allegedly killing Mr Lowo Oyediran, her husband, after a fight between them at their Akobo residence, Ibadan had been sentenced to seven years imprisonment for manslaughter by Justice Muntar Abimbola at the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, on Monday 27th November, 2017.
The convict,a former staff of the Department of Public Prosecution in the Oyo State of Ministry of Justice was accused of killing her husband with a knife after a disagreement between them the night of February 2, 2016, at their residence in Akobo area of Ibadan.
The trial judge while delivering his judgment said that convict was convicted of manslaughter and not of murder as alleged and that the seven years imprisonment should commence from Feb.2, 2016 when she was arrested.
The couple had no child together
