NYSC Oyo State Coordinator Urges Corps Members to Brace Up for Future Challenges

The NYSC Oyo State Coordinator, Odoba Oche, has urged outgoing corps members to brace up for the next phase of their lives and remain good ambassadors of the country.

Mr. Oche delivered this message during the passing out ceremony for Batch B Stream One corps members in Oyo State.

The event, held at the NYSC secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, was attended by state NYSC officials and outgoing corps members.

In his address, Mr. Oche congratulated the corps members on successfully completing their service year.

He encouraged them to prepare for the challenges ahead and to apply the skills and values they have acquired during their service year in their future endeavors. “Embrace the tasks ahead with confidence and continue to represent the NYSC and Nigeria with pride and integrity,” he said.

He further emphasized the scheme’s commitment to fostering national unity and youth development through various programs and initiatives.

He also highlighted the importance of maintaining the values of hard work and patriotism as they transition to new stages in their lives.

In her speech, Ibadan North Zonal Inspector, Mrs. Kolade C.K., commended the corps members for their dedication and wished them success in their future endeavors.

Speaking with some of the outgoing corps members, many shared their experiences and future plans. Oluwaseun Adeyemi, who served at a local government office, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve his country. “This year has been transformative for me. I’ve learned so much and grown in ways I never expected. I’m ready to take on the next phase with the lessons I’ve learned,” he said.

Another corps member, Fatima Sani, who worked in a community health center, spoke about the challenges and rewards of her service year. “It was tough at times, especially dealing with limited resources, but it was also incredibly rewarding to see the impact of our efforts on the community. I feel more prepared and motivated to continue making a difference,” she shared.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of letters of recommendation to corps members who demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication during their service year.

The event rounded up  with  the presentation of certificates of service to the outgoing corps members at their various local government points within the secretariat.
