In a notable development aimed at enhancing infrastructure in Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde inaugurated 38.48 kilometers of feeder roads within the Ibadan metropolis.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Makinde emphasized that his administration’s legacy would be defined not merely by the kilometers of roads constructed, but by the robust institutions it has built to support sustainable development.

The roads commissioned by the governor include the lyaganku-Seventh Day-Oke Bola Junction and Olubadan Stadium Junction-Vale College-NUJ Press Centre Junction with a spur to Total Filling Station-Radio Nigeria-Kobiowu Estate-Akinyemi Junction-Ring Road (3.85km), the dualised Mile 110-Mobil (Ring Road)- Challenge Road (8.50km), the dualised Bus Stop Agodi Gate-Oje-Beere-Oja’ba-Molete Under Bridge (10.80km) and Oke Adu-Ode Aje- Aremo-Orita Aperin Road (3.50km). Others are Idi Arere-Kudeti-Eleta-Idi Aro-Labo Junction-Orita Aperin Road (2.80km), Idi Arere- Popo Yemoja Road-Oke Ado-Molete Road (1.40km) and Oke Ado-Tribune-Imalefalafia- Ososami-lyana Adeoyo Junction-Ring Road (2.15km).
Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Dahud Sangodoyin, highlighted the anticipated benefits of these rehabilitated roads, underscoring their potential to spur economic prosperity through increased employment opportunities and enhanced internally generated revenue for local communities.
Governor Makinde reaffirmed his commitment to extending road rehabilitation efforts to inner roads in Ogbomoso, Oyo, Ibarapa, and Oke Ogun zones, urging residents to hold his administration accountable for its promises.
The event was attended by Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal, Hammed Gbadamosi, Hazim Gbolarumi, Senator Monsurat Monsurat Sunmonu, Mutiat Ladoja.
Others are Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Commissioners, Chairmen and DGs of boards and agencies, traditional rulers among other eminent personalities.
With ongoing and planned road projects across various zones of Oyo State, Governor Makinde’s administration continues to prioritize infrastructure investments aimed at fostering sustainable economic growth and enhancing living standards across the state.
