The Oyo State Government, in collaboration with the Pacesetter Transport Service (PTS), has announced the maiden edition of TRANSPORT Fest 1.0, scheduled to hold on December 19, 2025, at the Engr. Seyi Makinde Terminal, Eleyele Transport Park, Ibadan.
Billed as the first festival of its kind in the state, TRANSPORT Fest aims to celebrate the growth of the transport sector while creating a vibrant platform for youth engagement, creativity, and community interaction.
According to the organisers, the event will feature a rich blend of entertainment — including music, comedy, cultural performances, and interactive games — designed to bring together residents, transport workers, and visitors in a relaxed and festive environment. Popular artistes, comedians, and social media influencers are expected to light up the stage, adding energy and excitement to the celebration.
Speaking ahead of the event, Chairman and Sole Administrator of Pacesetter Transport Service, Hon. Dr. Dikko Salami, described TRANSPORT Fest 1.0 as a symbolic milestone in the state’s journey toward a modern and efficient transport system.
“TRANSPORT Fest 1.0 is more than just entertainment; it is a celebration of progress in Oyo State’s transport sector. We want our people, especially the youth, to see the potential in the transport industry, to understand its impact on daily life, and to engage with it creatively,” he said.
Dr. Salami emphasized that beyond the funfair, the festival would provide a platform for meaningful dialogue on transport innovation, safety, and operational efficiency. He noted that the initiative aligns with the state government’s commitment to transforming public transport and expanding opportunities for young people across Oyo State.
The festival is expected to attract a large turnout, marking a new chapter in community-driven transport engagement and spotlighting the state’s ongoing efforts to modernize mobility systems
