Oyo State Governor ‘Seyi Makinde has officially announced a significant cabinet reshuffle. The news came on Monday through a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
The reshuffle will result in several key appointments: Barr. Seun Ashamu, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, will transition to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Meanwhile, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, the current Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, is set to take over at the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
Additionally, Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, who has been overseeing Public Works, will now serve as the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources.
In the education sector, Prof. Solihu Adelabu, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, will assume responsibilities at the Ministry of Establishments and Training. Hon. Segun Olayiwola, the current Commissioner for Establishments, will now lead the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The letter indicated that these changes are effective immediately, with the governor urging all commissioners to carry out their duties with unwavering loyalty and commitment to the state.
