Oyo Speaker Denies Involvement in School Projects Outside State, 46th Alaafin Coronation

In a firm rebuttal to what has been described as “unscrupulous remarks and speculations,” the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly has issued a public statement refuting claims about the Speaker’s alleged community activities outside Oyo State.
The statement, signed by Oyetuji Oyekunle, categorically denied that the Rt. Hon. Speaker initiated or contributed to any school or building project outside Oyo State. Additionally, it dismissed rumors of the Speaker’s involvement in the planning or hosting of the recently held 46th Alaafin of Oyo Coronation.
“The Rt. Hon Speaker has never initiated or contributed towards any school (or building project) outside Oyo State,” the statement read. “The Rt. Hon Speaker was not involved in the planning of the 46th Alaafin of Oyo Coronation nor did he invite any guests in attendance.”
The press release emphasized the Speaker’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and service to the people of Oyo State. It also warned individuals peddling false narratives to desist from actions capable of disrupting the peace and unity of the state.
“As responsible public servants, we uphold the values of transparency and accountability to those we serve,” it concluded. “We urge those spreading falsehoods to refrain from dividing the peace and unity amongst us while we continue to focus on our service to the good people of Oyo State.”
