The Agba-Akin Olubadan of Ibadanland and former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, has strongly condemned the kidnapping of Oyo All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Hon. Wale Oriade, describing the incident as “shocking and unacceptable.”
In a brief statement, Folarin called on security agencies to intensify their efforts toward ensuring the immediate and safe rescue of Hon. Oriade, who was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen.
“This is a deeply troubling development. I urge our security operatives to deploy all necessary intelligence and resources to secure his prompt release. My prayers are with his family during this difficult time,” he stated.
The former Senate Leader stressed that the incident further underscores the urgent need for strengthened security collaboration across Oyo State, noting that the rising wave of kidnappings is becoming a major threat to public peace and safety.
Folarin appealed to residents to remain calm and vigilant, urging them to provide credible information that could aid ongoing rescue operations. He also reaffirmed that combating insecurity requires joint efforts from both the government and the citizenry.
