Engr. Akeem Olatunji, the Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, has officially laid the foundation for a new Amotekun Corps security base in Ayegun-Olunde.
The ceremony, held today, August 3, marks a significant step in bolstering the region’s security infrastructure.
Olatunji emphasized that the new facility, located in Ward 1, is designed to enhance security operations and improve response times across the Olomi-Ayegun-Olójúoro axis, which includes Wards 1, 6, and 7.

He also announced plans for an additional base to cover the Muslim Onila-Ayetoro-Egbeda Atuba Axis, encompassing Wards 3 and 4.
In his address, Olatunji underscored the project’s alignment with Governor Seyi Makinde’s security strategies, aimed at ensuring safer communities.
The new base will include administrative and operational facilities, contributing to a more effective and responsive Amotekun Corps.

The President, Aiyegun General Community Aare Wasiu Olapade including other community leaders like Chief Azeez Adeleke, praised Olatunji for his visionary approach and commitment to grassroots security.
They also commended Governor Makinde for his balanced state leadership.
The event was attended by notable figures such as Vice Chairman of Akorede LCDA, Hon. Adeniyi Akorede; Oluyole PDP Chairman, Alhaji Mukaila Adegbola; and other local dignitaries and officials.
