The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Tuesday paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
The visit was to formally thank President Tinubu for personally attending his coronation ceremony, which held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, Oyo State.

President Tinubu had travelled to Ibadan to grace the coronation, a gesture widely regarded as a mark of respect for the ancient Ibadan traditional institution and its leadership.
Oba Ladoja’s visit also highlighted the long-standing relationship between both leaders, who served together as Senators during Nigeria’s short-lived Third Republic between 1992 and 1993.
The meeting underscored mutual respect between the Presidency and the Ibadan traditional institution, reinforcing ties rooted in shared political history and national service.
