A major shockwave hit Oje Market on Monday, September 9, when renowned Fuji musician Saheed Osupa paid an unexpected visit to Asake, an onion seller widely regarded as one of his most devoted fans.
Just three days earlier, a popular digital storyteller from Ibadan, Ayo Adams, had posted a viral video featuring Asake Alalubosa passionately praising Saheed Osupa and expressing her deep love for him and his music.
In the video, which quickly spread across social media, the female fan declared her willingness to spend any amount of money on the Fuji star, showcasing her unwavering devotion to him.
In response to the viral video, Osupa made a surprise appearance at the market on Monday morning, much to the astonishment of many, to acknowledge her loyalty and support.
The unannounced visit sparked excitement throughout Oje, one of Ibadan’s oldest markets, as people of all ages gathered to celebrate. Amidst the cheers, Osupa gifted the petty trader and fan a stack of freshly printed currency, adding to the joy and excitement of the moment.
