In an effort to ensure that all eligible voters are able to collect their Permanent Voters Card in view of the forthcoming general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has decentralized the collection of PVC to the ward and Registration Areas level.

Beginning from the Wednesday, 16th of January, voters will be able to collect their PVCs at the ward level. It will be noted that PVCs had hitherto been given to owners at the INEC offices at the local government.

The independent National Electoral Commission INEC gave this disclosure on its official twitter handle @inecnigeria.

The disclosure reads, “As from 16th to 21st January 2019 (including Saturdays and Sundays), PVCs can be collected at the wards/Registration Areas. The exercise is to be held between 9 am and 3 pm daily.’

The statement further stated that at the expiration of the window of opportunity, ‘Permanent Voters card will be collected at the INEC local government offices until the 8th of February 2019 which is the last day.”

Eligible voters are therefore advised to take advantage of this window of opportunity to take possession of their PVC so as to be part of the forthcoming electoral process.
