The Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the state as they celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a short video currently circulating on social media, the governor delivered his Eid message while seated in a moving vehicle, addressing residents and offering prayers for peace, unity, and progress in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
“To our Muslim brothers and sisters, I want to greet you all, Eid Mubarak as you celebrate the end of the Ramadan fasting today,” Makinde said in the message.
The governor also used the opportunity to reassure his supporters amid ongoing political developments in the country, urging them not to be anxious about unfolding events within the political space.
“I want to tell all my supporters not to be afraid of the current happenings in the political circuit. This is our terrain. God will do the best for us in Oyo State and Nigeria,” he stated.
Makinde further emphasized confidence in divine guidance, calling on residents to remain hopeful and trust in God’s direction for the state and the nation.
“Leave politics to us; this is our terrain. God will have mercy on us and give us direction,” he added.
The message comes as Muslims across Oyo State join millions around the world in marking Eid-el-Fitr, a celebration that signifies the end of Ramadan and promotes values of sacrifice, gratitude, and communal harmony.
