Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has expressed sympathy to the Chairman of Fresh FM, Chief Olayinka Ayefele, and the management of the radio station following the Friday night fire that gutted part of its headquarters in Ibadan.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Suleimon Olanrewaju, and made available to journalists in Ibadan, the governor described the incident as “unfortunate,” while thanking God that no life was lost in the inferno.
Makinde urged Ayefele, whom he referred to as his brother and friend, to remain strong in the face of the setback.
“This too shall pass, and Fresh FM will bounce back better and stronger,” the governor assured.
