Following online speculation regarding a tragic incident at Cocoa House, where an individual reportedly fell from the building, Larva Tech Academy has formally denied any connection to the event. The denial comes after a claim surfaced under a social media post, alleging that the person involved was a student of the academy and had been instructed to erect a banner on the building.
In a bid to clarify the situation, Ibadan City ANNOUNCER contacted the founder of Larva Tech Academy for a direct response. He dismissed the claims as unfounded, stating unequivocally that no such directive was ever given to any student.
“All our students are complete and accounted for. We do not have any record of death in our academy, he said.
He further explained that there had been no contact from the Cocoa House management regarding any such incident involving the institution.
“The management of Cocoa house would have reached out to us if it was our student . There’s no way a student will die and their parents wouldn’t notify us,” he added.
The founder pointed out that the likely reason for the academy being mentioned is its visibility on search engines:
“People just google tech company at 8th floor Cocoa House and ours will pop up. But that doesn’t mean we are involved as we are not the only tech company on the 8th floor,
To further investigate the matter, the academy reached out to the facility manager of Cocoa House, who reportedly confirmed that the individual who fell is not a staff member of any company within the building.
“Nobody will ask anybody to put a banner on top of Cocoa House,” the founder emphasized, debunking the central claim
The academy urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information and reiterated its commitment to the safety and well-being of its students and staff.
