The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, led residents in a grand celebration of unity, faith, and communal togetherness at the 2025 Lagelu Christmas Carol held on Wednesday in Iyana-Offa.
The event drew hundreds of attendees, including royal fathers, religious leaders, community elders, political stakeholders, women, youths, and families from towns and villages across Lagelu Local Government Area, including Lalupon, Lagun, Monatan, Akobo, Olorunda, Iyana-Offa, and surrounding communities.
The celebration featured lively carol renditions, worship sessions, family bonding activities, and gift presentations, creating an atmosphere of joy, peace, and goodwill. Hon. Kamorudeen welcomed the crowd warmly, highlighting Christmas as a timeless reminder of the greatest gift—the birth of Jesus Christ—and the boundless love, peace, and goodwill it brings. He emphasized that the event reflected the holiday spirit that binds Lagelu as one family under God, celebrating fathers, mothers, children, and grandparents coming together to strengthen communal bonds and create lasting memories.

The Chairman underscored his administration’s efforts to identify with and support all religious communities in the area. By recognizing Christian, Islamic, and traditional festive seasons, the administration has fostered unity, mutual respect, and harmonious coexistence across diverse faiths and cultures. He encouraged residents to carry the season’s message of love, compassion, and service into the New Year, stressing that peace and unity are essential for progress.
