As part of its contributions to the socio-economic and political development of the state and Nigeria as a whole through policy generation and formulation, the Ibadan school of governance and public policy (ISGPP) will be hosting well meaning scholars and individuals to a book reading event on Thursday the 17th of May 2018.
The Ibadan School of Government and Public Policy is an independent, academic and professional policy training centre devoted to teaching and research on issues of governance, public administration, public policy, and development concerns in a unique way that impact on the activities of governance and the public interest.
The book reading, which is the third of its kind to be held in the school this year, is on the book “Against the Run of Play” written by Olusegun Olaniyi, Nigerian Journalist, Writer and a former Presidential Spokesman to the late Nigerian President Umaru Musa Ya’adua.
The book reading event has over time brought together eminent leaders, authors, government personalities and scholars of various orientations to share their ideas in a bid to foster a vibrant reading culture and engender a robust engagement between policy makers and the populace towards generating new ideas necessary for the progress and development of the society and the nation at large.
The book reading event is scheduled to begin at 11 am at the school’s premises at Bodija in Ibadan.
