Ibadan TechExpo 2025 Unveils Silent Master Classes to Deepen Tech Learning Experience

As anticipation builds for the third edition of Ibadan TechExpo, the convener, Hon. Balogun Danjuma Danjo, has announced a groundbreaking addition to this year’s event — silent master classes designed to provide participants with practical, hands-on learning across multiple areas of technology.
The 2025 edition, themed “Shaping the Future,” will hold on October 25, 2025, at UI International Conference Center, marking another milestone in the city’s growing tech ecosystem.
In a pre-event interview with Ibadancity Announcer, Danjo said that the introduction of master classes came as a direct response to attendees’ feedback. “People want to learn, not just network,” he said. “So, this year, we’re making learning the core of the experience.”
The master classes, eight in total, will cover key areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), coding, cryptocurrency, data analytics, and emerging technologies. Each session will operate as a silent class, where participants wear headphones to follow expert-led discussions in real time. While the main conference continues in the central hall, the master classes will take place simultaneously in a dedicated gallery space, allowing attendees to switch between learning sessions and plenary discussions seamlessly.
Danjo revealed that CC Hub, a Lagos-based tech community, is partnering with the Expo to manage the content and facilitate training for both participants and tutors. Other key sponsors and partners include Oh Mobility (headline sponsor), DNI Travel, Laver Technology, and Cardify. Institutional supporters such as the Oyo State Ministry of Science, Information and Technology, Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, and the University of Ibadan Students’ Union Government (SUG) are also backing the initiative.
Among the confirmed speakers are Claire Lavielle, Economic Officer at the French Embassy; representatives from Impact Hub, Moniepoint, Catway, and Dreamland, all bringing global insight to Ibadan’s fast-growing innovation scene.
While past editions focused heavily on networking and exhibitions, this year’s event aims to deepen impact over numbers. “We’ve done 10,000 attendees before, but this year we’re not chasing figures,” Danjo explained. “We’re focusing on value, giving people real knowledge they can apply.”
For first-time attendees, the Expo promises a vibrant mix of learning, mentorship, and networking. With an all-access ticket priced at ₦2,500, participants can freely attend both the main conference and the specialized master classes.
“The only thing I ask of first-timers,” Danjo added, “is to come with an open mind. Forget expectations, come ready to learn, connect, and grow.”
With its evolving format, high-profile partners, and learning-driven approach, Ibadan TechExpo 2025 is set to redefine the standard for tech gatherings in Nigeria’s Southwest.
