Michael Ogunsina: I’ve been living in Ibadan all my life.

Ibadan Lifestyle: Can you share an unforgettable experience you’ve had in Ibadan, whether good or bad?

Michael Ogunsina: It would be the day I trekked from Ojoo to Omi Adio, because I had no money on me and I was feeling too big to beg for money on the road.

Ibadan Lifestyle: Which area do you dread most in Ibadan?

Michael Ogunsina: I don’t dread anywhere in Ibadan. I grew up in a notorious area; my father was born in Abebi.

Ibadan Lifestyle: What is one thing you’ve seen in other cities that you would like to see in Ibadan?

Michael Ogunsina: I think there are some things I’ve seen in Ibadan that I would like to see in other states. We are too original and that’s our greatest asset. There’s nothing I’ve seen in other states that I’ve not seen in Ibadan.

Ibadan Lifestyle: When you’re away from Ibadan, what do you miss the most?

Michael Ogunsina: The atmosphere, the love, the free flow of traffic. I miss that when one road is blocked, I can pass another road. I also miss my Amala.

Michael Ogunsina: Gbagi or Ogunpa.

Ibadan Lifestyle: What are your thoughts on the social life in Ibadan?

Michael Ogunsina: We now have a 24-hour supermarket in Ring Road; I think I’ve only seen that in Port Harcourt and Lagos. If you get to Ring Road now, there is light, the nightlife in Bodija too is there. The social life in Ibadan is good.
