The Managing Director of Whatadeal and Chief Executive Officer, Fela Bank-Olemoh, has announced that his company has secured a 15-year concession of Bower’s Tower, one of Ibadan’s most iconic historical landmarks.
Bank-Olemoh disclosed this in a post shared on his official social media platform on Thursday, stating that the concession marks the beginning of a major redevelopment effort aimed at repositioning the site.

According to him, Whatadeal will lead the transformation of Bower’s Tower into a world-class destination within the next 24 months.
“I’ll be leading the transformation of this iconic site into a world-class destination within 24 months. Let’s get to work,” he wrote.
Bower’s Tower, located on Oke-Are Hill, remains a prominent cultural and tourist attraction in Ibadan, offering panoramic views of the city and holding deep historical significance dating back to the colonial era.
The planned upgrade is expected to enhance tourism, improve infrastructure around the site, and elevate its status as a key destination within Oyo State’s cultural and economic landscape.
Further details of the concession agreement and development plans are expected to be unveiled in the coming months.
