Founder and President of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, has urged young entrepreneurs and innovators to embrace resilience, consistency, and belief in their ideas, citing global tech giant Amazon as an example of what perseverance can achieve.
Speaking during his goodwill message at the Ibadan TechExpo 2025, themed “Shaping the Future,” Adeoye encouraged participants to nurture what he called “the entrepreneurial spirit”; the courage to dream, act, and keep pushing despite challenges and uncertainties.
“The entrepreneurial spirit; when you wake up, have an idea, ruminate, and execute it. Sometimes it doesn’t look like an idea that will change the world,” he said. “Stay at it, do not give up! Keep up the hustle, keep up the spirit, do not give up.”
Expanding on his point, Adeoye used Amazon as a symbol of resilience and consistent effort. He reminded the audience that the e-commerce giant started from a humble beginning, selling books from a garage, but grew into one of the world’s most valuable companies through persistence, innovation, and long-term vision.
He emphasized that young entrepreneurs in Nigeria, especially in Ibadan’s growing tech space, must adopt the same mindset: to believe in their ideas even when results are not immediate. “No idea is too small,” he noted, “what matters is your dedication to nurture it until it grows into something meaningful.”
The event brought together leading voices in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem, from investors and startups to policymakers, to inspire the next generation of thinkers and doers who will transform the nation’s technological landscape.
