Uncertainties hover around the political future of the embattled Minister for Communications, Barrister Abebayo Shittu and his relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari as the building housing the Buhari /Osibajo Dynamic Group Regional Campaign Office for the coming 2019 election has been put up for rent.
The office building located along the Mokola-Sango road Ibadan was commissioned with funfair after a well-attended event at the International Conference Center, University Of Ibadan in December 2017 with the intention of being the Southwest Zonal Campaign office for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in the coming 2019 general elections.

The building also doubles as his Ministerial Constituency Office, touted as the first of its kind in Nigeria.
It will be recalled that in December 2017 the building was opened leading to speculations that it would in fact be the new APC secretariat in the state in an apparent bid to hijack the political structure in the state under the incumbent Governor, Sen Abiola Ajimobi.
According to our source, “Adebayo Shittu will be the first Minister in the history of Nigeria to have a Ministerial Office where people of the state he represents can get firsthand information on all his activities as minister” the source said
“The building will also serve as the zonal office of Buhari- Osinbajo Support Group, people from all walks of life working for Mr. President 2nd term agenda. Members of the group from Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun, Lagos and Ondo will have their meetings here to support Buhari-Osinbajo and the All Progressive Congress Party”
There were indications however that the building was part of his grand plan and initiative towards achieving his ambition of becoming the Governor of Oyo state.
However things may have begun to unravel for Adebayo Shittu shortly before the APC governorship primary as news broke about his failure to embark on the mandatory one year National Youth Service Scheme.
The discovery made by available by Premium Times seems to have been the last straw against his political ambition as he failed on multiple occasions to justify his non-participation in the NYSC scheme. Adebayo Shittu was subsequently disqualified from contesting the primaries by the National leadership of the All Progressives congress.
Barrister Adebayo Shittu who is considered a loyalist of the President, especially considering their political relationship under the platform of Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) ,may just be hanging by a thread on his ministerial appointment as Minister for Communications following the NYSC scandal and the recent development only further fuel the speculations that all is not well with their relationship.

Already, the once imposingly beautiful edifice is giving up its radiance due to apparent signs of neglect. The immediate environment of the fenced building has become bushy and shrubs and trees have also overtaken the premises. Residents around have also taken the advantage of the bushy compound to dump refuse into the premises.
