2027 Calculations? Senator Sharafadeen Alli Mobilizes Oyo South APC

In a move that has sent ripples through the political corridors of the Pacesetter State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) today convened a high-powered consultative meeting with key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The gathering, held at his Ibadan residence on Saturday, January 3, 2026, was attended by stakeholders from all nine local governments within the district. While officially a New Year parley, the strategic depth of the discussions suggests a mobilization effort aimed at solidifying the party’s grassroots base ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.

Addressing the stakeholders, Senator Alli reiterated his unwavering commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda. He emphasized that the dividends of democracy must be made visible at the ward levels across both Ibadan and Ibarapa.

“Our loyalty to the center is non-negotiable, and our duty to Oyo South is sacred,” Alli declared. He cited ongoing infrastructure and welfare projects in his constituency as evidence of his stewardship and commitment to the people.

The Senator also used the platform to rally leaders against internal fractionalization, urging a “united front” to support the party’s growth in Oyo State. This call for unity comes at a critical time when local politics is beginning to heat up.

Key attendees included former local government chairmen and ward leaders who lauded the Senator’s transparency. They noted that such regular engagement is what keeps the APC’s machinery oiled and ready for future challenges.

For political observers in the state capital, this mobilization serves as a definitive signal that the APC is tightening its grip on the district. It highlights a proactive approach to governance that doesn’t wait for election years to connect with the people.

As the meeting concluded, a roadmap for quarterly grassroots town halls was proposed. This move ensures that the “Renewed Hope” agenda remains a living conversation among the constituents of Oyo South throughout 2026.
