The tech ecosystem is not just about developing a new app or website- Amofin Beulah Adeoye

Founder and President of the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye delivered a compelling speech on the transformative power of technology in both everyday life and economic development. Adeoye, a prominent advocate for technological progress, urged attendees at the just concluded 2nd edition of the ibadanTechExpo2024 to view technology as a catalyst for positive change, capable of driving growth across various sectors of the economy.

“Technology touches every aspect of our lives,” Adeoye stated, illustrating how technology has seamlessly integrated into daily routines. He shared personal examples, explaining how his day began with multiple technological interactions—from an app that wakes him up to a weather app that helps him decide what to wear. This constant engagement, he explained, is a reflection of how vital technology is to modern living.

However, Adeoye stressed that the conversation around technology should go beyond creating new apps or websites. “The tech ecosystem is not just about developing a new app or website,” he noted, “but about building sustainable business models that will drive economic growth and enhance lives.” He urged participants to see technology not as an end in itself, but as a tool that can be harnessed to create meaningful, long-term change.

In sharing his professional journey, Adeoye, a graduate of the University of Ibadan with a specialization in forensic technology, highlighted how technology plays a crucial role in resolving conflicts and managing information. He described how, in his field, technology can be used to recover deleted data, reminding the audience of technology’s capability to create, review, and retrieve critical information.

According to the speaker, the Beulah Adeoye Foundation, played a pivotal role in supporting the Ibadan Tech Expo 2024 through his foundation, Adeoye contributed 10 brand new HP laptops to the event, awarded cash prizes to 100 beneficiaries, and distributed 500 free tickets to attendees. In addition, the foundation provided 1,000 souvenir packages containing shirts, notebooks, water flasks, pens, and other essentials, aimed at inspiring young minds to explore digital opportunities.

Adeoye’s speech underscored his commitment to empowering communities through technology and fostering sustainable economic growth. His foundation’s generous contributions to the Ibadan Tech Expo were a testament to his belief that access to technology and digital tools can significantly impact lives. By the end of the event, Adeoye had not only inspired his audience but also reaffirmed his role as a driving force behind technological innovation and community development.
