The city of Ibadan will host prominent Pastors, State Governors, top political office Holders, celebrities, gospel musicians and host of others to celebrate One of the leading voices in the gospel music industry in Nigeria, Evangelist. (Dr) Funmi Aragbaiye as she celebrates her 70th birthday anniversary and over forty years of divine call into gospel music ministry on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
The event will take place at the popular Felicia Hall, Jogor Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan as various form of entertaining activities have been lined up to celebrate the famous and world acclaimed gospel musician.
Evang. Funmi Aragbaiye made it known to journalists during her press conference in her residence in Oluyole “At the event on Sunday 28th July, 2024, I will also launch my foundation alongside my book presentation to mark the day”
She further stated that former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo would be the father of the day, while Pastor Enoch Adeboye and the Most Revd Dr J. O. Akinfenwa are the spiritual fathers of the day. She added that the Ooni of Ife Oba (Dr) Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso (CON) Osile of Oke Ona, Egba are the royal fathers of the day.
She further stated “We have also invited and expecting all current southwest governors and former governors are also expected at the epoch making event. The chairman of the occasion will be Prof. Kayode Adebowale, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, while the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde will be the chief host.
