OYO APC Loses Party Auditor
The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State is mourning the loss of its auditor and former chairman of Afijio Local Government, Hon. Lukman Anwo.
The news of his death was announced yesterday by the State APC PRO, Olawale Sadare.
Party associates and colleagues have expressed immense sadness over the death of Hon. Lukman Anwo.
Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) who expressed profound grief over the passing of the party auditor, described the loss as a rude shock and significant loss to the APC family as well as the state.
This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Ibadan.
The lawmaker praised the dedication and service of the deceased to the party and the people of Afijio Local Government.
He noted that Anwo’s leadership and commitment had left an indelible mark on the community, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and constituents alike.
“Hon. Lukman Anwo was a man of integrity and unwavering commitment to the progress of our party and the development of his local government.
“His demise is a painful blow to all of us who knew and worked with him. He will be sorely missed,” Alli said.
The senator prayed that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannat Firdaos.
He prayed for strength and comfort for the family, friends, associates and the APC family during this difficult time, urging them to find solace in the legacy of service and dedication that Anwo left behind.
Alli called on party members and the entire community to honour Anwo’s memory by continuing to work towards the ideals and values he upheld.
“Let us unite in our grief and strive to achieve the vision of a better Oyo State, which Hon. Anwo so passionately pursued,” he said.
