If you are not sincere, success will teach you a painful lesson- Ayo ”Woli Agba” Ajewole

Actor and Content Creator Mr. Ayo Ajewole, popularly known as Woli Agba, delivered a thought-provoking speech at the recently concluded IbadanTechExpo2024 and left a lasting impression on the audience. His address highlighted the importance of starting from service, working hard, and maintaining sincerity in any career path.

Woli Agba began by using a powerful analogy: “Have you ever wondered why Jesus was born to a carpenter and not a soldier who would teach Him how to lay down His life?” This, he said, underscores the value of humility and service in the journey to success. He also referenced the story of David, who was tending sheep when he defeated Goliath, to illustrate how hidden potential is often discovered through service. “While you’re serving, you’re discovering your potential,” he said, urging people to take action instead of merely dreaming or planning from a distance.

Drawing from his own experience, Woli Agba shared how working for 15 years in his father’s industry played a critical role in shaping his career. He emphasized that serving others is not only about building skills but also about discovering one’s true creative genius. “All you need is one breakthrough to overcome challenges like poverty,” he said. He also stressed the importance of sincerity in service, warning that dishonesty could derail success in the long run. “If you’re not sincere, success will eventually teach you a painful lesson,” he remarked.

Woli Agba also touched on the need for hard work, advising the audience to work both hard and smart. He encouraged consistency and the desire to continually improve, noting that success comes to those who push themselves to beat their own personal bests.

His speech was well-received by the tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs present at the event, offering them a powerful reminder that success is built on a foundation of service, integrity, and relentless effort.
