Caretaker Chairman Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Hon. Sunday Johnson Busayo, has presented patrol vehicles to the Vigilante Security Outfit in his council Area for effective patrol of the development area amidst the security challenges facing the country. While presenting the vehicles to the vigilante group in Ifeloju, Hon. Busayo advised the security personnel to be thorough in securing and protecting lives and properties in the Local Council Area.
As part the contribution of the LCDA to compliment the efforts of the Oyo State Government in improving security in the state, Hon. Sunday Busayo had earlier donated eight motorcycles to the security groups operating within the Ifeloju Local Government Development Area.
Speaking at the event, the Caretaker Chairman said he is ready to replicate the good work his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde is doing to protect the people of the state irrespective of where they come from as long as they reside, work or visit any part of Oyo state. He added that one of the major challenges of his LCDA is security, and he is ready to tackle it effectively while working together with all the constitutionally empowered security agencies within his LCDA. He also noted that without the necessary security tools and equipment the challenges cannot be cowed.
In his closing remarks at the event, the Caretaker Chairman expressed his appreciation to the governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde for the privilege given him to serve the people of Ifeloju Local Government Development Area as the youngest Local Council Development Area Caretaker.
Secretary to Council, Members and Management Team including all the Directors in the Council were present during the handing over ceremony.
