Tough Times Ahead But I Am Fit To Tackle The Challenges – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has hinted that is there are challenging times ahead of him in his second term as president but express confidence that he is fit and capable enough to tackle the enormous challenges of addressing the economic and security situation of the country.
President Buhari stated this while receiving some members of the Federal Executive Council who paid him a visit to congratulate him after his emergence as the winner if the just concluded presidential election.
According to him, “My last lap of four years, I think is going to be tough. People are very forgetful and that’s why during the campaign, I spoke about our cardinal agenda,” he said.
The president further touted his strength and fitness to tackle the challenges headlong
He expressed that contrary to the belief of the opposition, who doubted his medical fitness. He was strong and capable as ever to address the issues headlong.
“I tried to visit the 36 states and Abuja, firstly, to prove to the other side that I’m fit. I tried to cover two states per day and secondly, not to make anybody feel that any state had been left out.
“So, I thank God that He gave me the strength and health to see through my plan and I think it is appreciated,’’ he said.
The president further renewed his commitment towards entrenching a a better Nigeria devoid of corruption and insecurity while improving the nation’s economy.
The meeting was attended by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF) Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno and over 20 ministers.
