1.  INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST. POSITION LOCATION: IBADAN, ABUJA & LAGOS

We are looking for a well-trained, board certified, energetic and highly motivated Interventional Cardiologist physician who has excellent interpersonal communication skills and able to work effectively. The post holder will join the existing team of Adult and Pediatric Interventional Cardiologists in our rapidly growing Heart and Vascular Program.
The successful candidate must demonstrate clinical proficiency in active practice and be eligible for, or have achieved the rank of Senior Lecturer or associate professor. The responsibilities of the successful candidate include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, including complex PCI, right and left heart hemodynamic studies, radial artery access, and appropriate use of advanced hemodynamic support devices.  The ideal candidate will have advanced training and/or experience in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral valve therapies, PFO/ASD closure, and left atrial appendage closure. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in team care and the mentoring of cardiology fellows, internal medicine residency staff, and students from Benjamin Carson Snr. School of Medicine Babcock University Nigeria.

2. CATH LAB NURSE: POSITION LOCATION: ABUJA, LAGOS

We desire the services of an experienced, energetic and proactive Registered Cath Lab Nurse to join our cardiac team of staff in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The prospective candidate will work with our Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and must display a strong commitment to the vision and mission of Tristate cardiovascular and its values. In our program, we currently have a Toshiba dedicated cardiac catheterization lab, with large flat-screen monitors, the latest in EP systems, including a new Bard EP operating system.  We offer diagnostic angiography, coronary intervention, and standard and complex pacing/ICD implantation including Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy and both simple and complex Electrophysiological Studies and Ablation.  Your role as a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse will include the following:
•       To admit and prepare patients for Cath Lab procedures ensuring appropriate investigations are done and accurately recording documentation.
•       To scrub and assist the Cardiologists with angiographic/angioplasty procedures when required.
•       Ensure all necessary consumables, equipment and pharmacy are accurately and safely prepared prior to the commencement of each clinical procedure.
•       Undertake all necessary safety checks prior to patient procedure and appropriately prepare the patient for the procedure.
•       Assist the clinician during the clinical procedure.
•       Deliver safe and appropriate patient care.
•       Ensure safe puncture site management post procedure
•       Undertake and record accurate documentation in the patient care plan
•       Give an accurate and safe handover to the receiving nurse

Required Qualification:
•       Must be a qualified Registered Nurse
•       Experience within a Cath lab or interventional cardiology/radiology environment
•       Competent in Life support (ALS/BLS).
•       Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
•       Flexible and motivated with great problem-solving skills.
•       Good organizational and planning skills.
•       Able to make judgment of situations, which require the analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options.
•       Ability to communicate clearly with a range of people across the hospital.
•        Knowledge of Invasive Cardiac and Interventional Radiology procedures

3. PERFUSIONIST.
The Pediatric Clinical Perfusionist assists in open heart, major vascular, and trauma surgeries in our cardiothoracic department in the Heart and Vascular Centre at Our locations in Nigeria. The Perfusionist operates support systems and related equipment for these surgeries under the supervision of our cardiothoracic surgeon. The Perfusionist collaborates with the surgical team to ensure that all issues are addressed concerning cardiothoracic perfusion equipment and display a strong commitment to the vision and mission of Tristate cardiovascular and its values.

Required Qualification:
•       Must be an accredited graduate of the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education in Europe, USA or India.
•       Must be certified as a Certified Clinical Perfusionists (CCP)
•       Must hold certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
•       Knowledge of surgery-specific medical terminology is required.
•       Prior experience operating perfusion equipment is required.
•       Prior experience as a surgical team member is highly required
•       Pediatric perfusion experience is required.
•       Must have a working knowledge of cardioplegia delivery systems, cell saver, IABP, VAD, CPS, and ECMO.

4. CARDIOPULMONARY TECHNICIAN.   POSITION LOCATION: IBADAN, ABUJA AND LAGOS

We desire the service of an experienced cardiopulmonary Technician to perform
adult and pediatric electrocardiograms; monitor cardiac status during all types of stress testing, both treadmill and chemical induced; perform 24 and 48 hours Holter monitors; ambulatory blood pressure monitors; pulmonary function studies, resting and exercise oximetry; breathing treatments, pediatric and adult patients, and responds to Code Blue and emergency situations. The ideal candidate must remain current in knowledge required to perform the assigned duties, observe all clinic guidelines and policies.

Required Qualification:
a)    Must possess Bachelors or Associate Degrees in relevant discipline
b)    Versatile in operating equipment such as electrocardiogram, ultrasound machines or defibrillators.
c)    Ability to work under pressure, pay a lot of attention to detail and work well in a team setting.

5.    ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST. POSITION LOCATION: IBADAN, ABUJA, AND LAGOS

An experienced Sonographer is required in the above location. He or she must be ready to work under limited supervision but the direction of the radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist completes sonography procedures including routine sonograms as well as interventional biopsies using ultrasound. Sonographers participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities. He or She works within the guidelines established in the policies and procedure manual and complies with all safety and infection control guidelines.

Required Qualification:
o       Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and or School of Sonography.
o       Two-year program or four-year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in sonography or completion of requirements from an accredited school in sonography including meeting all clinical requirements.
o       Current registration/licensure/certification in good standing.
o        Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required.
o       Minimum of two-years hospital department experience in medical sonography to include biopsies.
o       Administrative Skills:  Able to accurately complete sonography examinations as ordered by referring physicians.
o       Experience with radiology information systems to obtain previous examination reports.
o       Equipment/Machine Skills: Able to correctly and safely operate sonographic equipment and perform invasive procedures following orientation period to the department.  Routine use of office equipment (phone, fax, pagers).
o       Other Skills:  Able to communicate effectively with all patients, physicians, nurses and other medical personnel.  Able to handle periods of intensity with calm.  Able to work in stressful situations while maintaining composure and perform required sonographic duties regardless of the patient’s condition.

6. MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGISTS POSITION LOCATION: IBADAN, ABUJA, AND LAGOS
We have an opening for an experienced Medical Imaging technologist to work in any of our location above.  The candidate will perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes for moderate and high complexity testing for waived, moderate, and high complexity testing. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. Job description/Responsibilities:  Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, CAT Scan, Invasive & Interventional Radiological Procedures, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultra Sound or Special Procedures according to department protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers and are successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/ QC activities. Assists in maintaining Performance Improvement Program.  Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Responsible for Processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Required Qualification:
1.    A graduate of an approved training program.
2.    Must be a registered and certified Radiographer in any of these places: Nigeria, Europe, North America or Indian.
3.    One year of Acute Clinical Radiography desired.
4.    One year in Second Modality is required. Advanced Certification may be substituted.
5.    Mammography experience strongly preferred

6.    MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST.  POSITION LOCATION: IBADAN, ABUJA, AND LAGOS.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accurate performance of tests; use of controls to ensure the accuracy of test results, and the exercise of judgment in the case of questionable or abnormal results. The function of the successful candidates includes the following:
o       Perform work with the highest standards of accuracy and precision.  Recognize, correct, communicate and document errors when they occur.
o       Understand the scientific basis of each test.  Use knowledge to make critical judgments regarding the acceptability of test results.
o       Enter results and data into computer systems and perform appropriate checks to minimize clerical errors.  Recognize, confirm, report and document critical, abnormal or unusual results.
o       Maintain competency in all tests performed in the clinical diagnosis laboratory and perform these tests as assigned.
o       Coordinate and complete multiple procedures efficiently and accurately. Prioritize workload in response to urgent requests. When assigned tasks are completed, assist others and/or work on special projects.
o       Investigate and solve problems involving specimen collection or handling; seek assistance to solve problems when appropriate.
o       Make and verify the quality of reagents.  Follow established procedures for labeling and storage of materials, and monitor laboratory inventory.
o       Assure quality control requirements are attained to validate test results.
o       Demonstrate a courteous, respectful, professional attitude, and behavior at all times.
o       Be aware of compliance and billing issues and follow acceptable laboratory policies.
Required Qualification:
a)      Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
b)      Current Medical Laboratory Science certification with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
c)      Must have certification with specialty organization appropriate to the laboratory division.
d)      Two years of on-the-job experience performing clinical testing in a Medical Laboratory Science Program.

7. CLINICAL SERVICE MANAGER. POSITION LOCATION: IBADAN, ABUJA, AND LAGOS.

The Clinical Service Manager is responsible for managing daily operations, including functioning as a resource to team members, problem-solving day to day issues, assisting patient flow, and being accountable to team for providing quality care; directing, supervising and assisting with the delivery of patient services and all related staff activities within his/her assigned centre according to the policies, philosophy, mission and values of Tristate Cardiovascular Associates. He or She reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The manager must be able to demonstrate critical thinking, be creative with skills and have the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations and human resource functions, including hiring, performance management, and scheduling.  The manager Creates the hospital schedule, manages labor costs to budget and is responsible for collaborating with the central administration to manage monthly and annual budget with a focus on daily productivity and customer service.

Required Qualification:
       Masters Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Health Sciences other related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.  Clinical experience preferred.
       Minimum of 10 years of related and progressively responsible experience in a healthcare setting, a minimum of 5 years of Managerial in clinical care management, quality or performance improvement, and customer service and project management.
       Possess the ability to lead groups in building continuous improvement systems in patient experience or quality that enable ideal behaviors and results.
       Must be able to work with a high level of independence, use good judgment/discretion in decision-making and excellent problem-solving skills.
       Acts as a champion for change and identifies, documents, shares, and promotes best practices.
       Must be able to develop and manage strategy for patient experience improvement within the Centre.
       Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
       Candidate will possess proven project management and performance or quality improvement experience.

8. BUSINESS MANAGER- POSITION LOCATION ABUJA AND LAGOS.

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual, with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a wide variety of stakeholders. The Business Manager prepares strategic business and financial plans. Performs financial analysis of current and prospective processes and practices. Undertakes capital purchase analysis and prepares project and purchasing proposals. Supports all financial activities of the centre.

b)      Analyzes potential capital purchases and special projects, and prepares purchasing proposals and requisitions.
c)      Performs all duties necessary to maintain revenue flow and accuracy for departmental coding and billing.
d)      Builds information tables, creates table relationships, and accurately maintains databases and trains end-users.
e)      Maximizes revenue and reimbursement by maintaining accurate and comprehensive billing processes.
f)      Ensures that charge codes reflect cost changes of products and procedures.
g)      Reviews monthly and quarterly performance reports and prepares budget variance reports with explanations and supporting graphs.
h)      Assists with planning and preparation of departmental operational and capital budgets.

Required Qualification:
Masters in Finance, Business Administration, or Health Administration, Hospital Information Systems, preferred. 8 years experience in a healthcare setting required. Clinical knowledge of cardiovascular procedures preferred.

9. CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST: CARDIAC ICU
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 10-bed Unit that provides immediate post-operative care to Cardiovascular surgical and critical care patients. The candidate must be able to care for both adult and pediatric patients who have undergone a broad range of surgical procedures with acuity ranging from Ambulatory to Critical Care. Surgical specialties Vascular, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and General Surgery

Required Qualification:
a)      BSN required
b)      Intensive Critical Care(ICU) experience required.
c)      BLS required upon hire; ACLS and PALS required within 3 months of hire.
d)      EMR experience (Cerner) an asset.
e)      Candidate must possess an exceptional customer service skills and commitment to patient safety. Flexibility and willingness to participate in a dynamic, learning environment.
