IBADAN: PDP honours late OPC leader Fasehun at South West Mega Rally

The leading opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP paid a befitting respect to the late leader of the Pan Yoruba group the Oodua People’s Congress OPC at the Southwest mega rally held in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

The Presidential rally, which is a zonal rally meant to tranverse the six geopolitical zones of the country was attended by PDP stalwart and party faithful from all the states within the zones.

The PDP National Chairman Prince Uche Secondus while speaking to the mammoth crowd requested the gathering to observe a minute silence in honour of the deceased Yoruba leader, Dr Federick Fasehun.

Dr Federichk Fasheun who is the founder and the National leader of Oodua Peoples Congress died on Saturday, 1st of December, 2018 at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LASUTH after a brief illness.

He died at the age of 83.

Present at the rally were, the presidential Aspirant of the PDP, Alh Atiku Abubakar, his running mate Dr Peter Obi, the Senate President Bukola Saraki, Senator Dino Melaye, former governor of Ekiti State Peter Fayose, former governorship candidate in Osun State Sen. Ademola Adeleke, all Governorship aspirants under the umbrella of PDP in the southwest geopolitical zone and other foremost party stalwarts.
